Why grocery help matters
Grocery shopping is one of the first errands to get hard. Heavy bags, a long walk across the parking lot, crowded aisles and summer heat in St. Pete can turn a simple trip into an exhausting one. When a senior stops driving or is recovering from surgery, the fridge can empty out quickly and meals get skipped.
Gina takes that whole job off the list. She sits down with you to write the list, shops the store you know, picks the brands you actually buy and puts everything away when she gets back. Allergies and dietary preferences are noted so the right items come home every time.
Who it helps
- Seniors who no longer drive, or who prefer not to in traffic on 4th Street or US 19
- People recovering from illness or surgery who need a few weeks of help at home
- Anyone who finds big stores tiring or carrying bags difficult
- Families out of town who want to know their parent has fresh food in the house
More than groceries
The same trip can cover the rest of the household list: paper towels and cleaning supplies, pet food, personal items and toiletries, or a favorite meal from a local restaurant. Combining stops into one visit keeps the cost down, and it is one less thing for the family to coordinate. If a prescription is ready, Gina can pick it up from the pharmacy on the same run, and other errands like returns or the post office fit in easily.
For adult children
If you live out of state, knowing your parent has food in the house is a real relief. Gina can set up a recurring weekly shopping day and let you know after each trip what was bought and whether anything seemed off, like the fridge being fuller or emptier than usual. It pairs well with a check-in visit, and it is one of the most common parts of long-distance family support.
How scheduling works
Grocery help can be booked as occasional support, starting at $120 for a two-hour minimum, or as part of a monthly membership for a consistent weekly shopping day at a lower hourly rate. Every plan starts with a free 20-minute consultation to agree on the store, the schedule and how groceries are paid for.
Gina serves St. Petersburg and the rest of Pinellas County, including Gulfport, Pinellas Park, Seminole and the beaches.
